Cyanotype

To make a cyanotype, you need to mix Ferric Ammonium Citrate 20% solution with Potassium Ferricyanide 8% solution. For best results, coat two times the solution on a paperboard. The paper will dry and become yellowish. Expose to Ultraviolet light and quickly put objects on the paper and expose it for about 8 minutes depending on the brightness and UV content, or until the paper becomes grayish. Rinse until the water becomes clear and intensify the blue by putting the paper in hydrogen Peroxide 6% solution of the standard 3% product from the pharmacy and finally, let it dry.
Everything in the process was good except for a little detail. When I exposed my cyanotype outside, I put feathers on my paperboard, but it was windy. The feathers were always flying away, which made the effect on my cyanotype a bit different then what I wanted.
In this experiment, I discovered that daylight can do amazing things, just how it changed the yellowish color into blue.
Next time, to make it better, I would coat it a bit better and I'd try not to choose a windy day if I want feathers or take objects that are heavier.

Pinhole photograph critique

This is a photograph from Joshua Szulecki of a waterfall. The photograph is taken from under the waterfall and seems to be standing on the ground surrounded by rocks and the water falling down. The water is pretty and soft.

I think the photographer intention was to set us to a serene mood, to bring us to a place of peace where everything seems perfect and relaxing.

I really like this photograph because it makes me want to go to that place and if his intention was to make us feel in peace, he succeeded.

I find that this is a good image. I like the angle how it was taken and how the waterfall seems to be falling on us. I also like how the waterfall is soft and the impression it gives when it falls on the ground.
